The old phone book had one great idea: every local business in one place, with a number you could call. LocalTrustedPages keeps that idea and adds what it was missing: opening hours, maps, ratings from real customers, and an order that nobody can buy. Look up a café, a dentist or a plumber by city and neighbourhood, see how people rate them, and contact them directly.

How we rank
Star ratings on their own reward businesses with hardly any reviews: two 5-star ratings would beat hundreds of 4.7s. So each business starts as if it had 10 ratings of 3.5 stars, and its real reviews move it from there. The more people who rate a business, the more their rating counts.

A business with no reviews yet stays at the 3.5-star starting point. Ties go to the business with more reviews. Money never comes into it.
We only publish a list once a city has at least 5 businesses in it, and a neighbourhood list once it has 3.
Review rules
Reviews only help if they're honest, so each one is checked against these before it goes live.
- 1Been there yourselfWrite about businesses you've actually used, and about what happened to you.
- 2Stay on topicThe service, the price, the people. Leave out unrelated arguments.
- 3Be civil, even when it went wrongNo threats, insults, harassment or hate.
- 4Keep it privateNo phone numbers, home addresses or full names of staff or other customers.
- 5No reviewing yourselfOwners and staff can't review their own business, or a rival's.
- 6Nothing in returnNo reviews for discounts, gifts or money, and businesses mustn't offer them.
We take down reviews that break these rules, but not reviews that are simply unhappy, and nobody can pay us to remove one.
